What color is your personality? It is a question people love to answer and send to a friend. Are you the bold one, the calm one, the one who starts the group chat? The Aura Color test in SlowMind turns that question into a picture.

It takes 18 quick questions and about three minutes. At the end you get one main color from a wheel of eight, blended with a second color that shows the other side of you. It is light, it is quick, and it is made to be shared.

It is also more than a quiz for fun. Each color stands for a real, recognizable personality pattern, like drive, curiosity, calm or care, so the result says something about how you actually move through your days.

Eight colors on a wheel

The colors sit on a wheel, and neighbors on the wheel are related patterns. Drive sits next to adventure, adventure next to company, steadiness next to calm, calm next to thinking, thinking next to imagination, imagination next to feeling, and feeling circles back to drive. Here are the eight, each with the line that sums it up.

There is no bad color. None of the eight is a flaw in disguise, and each one comes with real strengths and one honest watch-out.

How the test works

Each question is a small everyday scene or a simple preference. You tap the one answer that sounds most like you, and the test moves on. There is no scale to rate and no neutral middle, because choosing between four answers you might genuinely give is closer to how you really decide.

Every answer leans mostly toward one color and a little toward another. That is how the test finds your second color: from the real mix in your answers, not from an afterthought. A couple of questions simply ask you to pick the word that feels most like you.

A sample question: "A free morning with nothing planned. You..."

Dig into something until you finally get it · Have a slow breakfast and call someone you miss · Practice a skill you've been building for months · Message friends to see what's happening

There are no wrong answers. Pick what sounds like you, not what sounds best, and go with your first instinct.

What it is, and what it is not

Let's be plain about it. The name is playful, but this is not a reading of energy, and nobody has to believe anything for it to work. It does not predict your week. Your color is a picture of your answers, nothing more and nothing less.

That is why it lives on the Just for fun shelf in SlowMind, next to the lighter tests. It is a friendly way to see yourself and to start a conversation, not a verdict.

Why a blend, not a single color

Few people are only one thing. You might be mostly Clear Blue with a streak of Steady Green, calm and fair but reliable to the minute. Or you might be Daring Orange with a bit of Deep Indigo, always up for the new thing but only after reading about it first.

The second color makes your result feel like you rather than like a type. And when two colors are very close, your result reads as between the two, because both of them describe you.

Want the serious version?

Aura Color is built to be quick and fun. If your color made you curious, the Personality Trait Test in SlowMind is the longer, deeper take, built on the Big Five model that researchers use most. Many people take the color test first, then go there for the full picture.

Frequently asked questions

Is the aura color test free?

The app is free to download, and the test is free to take in your browser or in the app, with your result at the end: your color, your blend and your spectrum. The longer written reading is part of Premium.

Does the test read my aura?

No. Despite the name, this is a personality test. Your color comes only from your answers, and it is a picture of them, not a measurement of anything else.

How accurate is it?

It is a short, playful self-reflection test, not a clinical or validated instrument. Each color is loosely based on everyday personality patterns, so the result often feels right, but it is a snapshot of how you answered today. For a more rigorous look at your personality, try the Personality Trait Test.

What if two colors are close?

That is common, and it is the point of the blend. When your top two colors are very close, your result reads as between the two, and both describe you. Your full spectrum shows how strongly each of the eight colors showed up.

Is there a more serious version?

Yes. The Personality Trait Test in SlowMind is built on the Big Five model, the most widely used framework in personality research. It is longer and goes deeper, and it is a good next step if your color made you curious.
